Oh Sweet Baby! ~ Day 79

Is it the high altitude of Colorado or is it the "high" we feel with our  precious Penelope?

Love, love, sweet love is in the air with her presence here in Ft. Collins. :)

Oh, sleep little baby...

There are no words to describe the smell of a newborn and the magic of love Penelope gives out to her family. What a special treat for me to hold her each day while we are here!!!

I just love holding her as she sleeps and NOT putting her down, if I can help it. :)  She sleeps so much better being held. :) Watch out, John & Tara... less zzzzz's for you for a while!

I am taking it all in... her fresh newborn smell, her tiny body goes limp and her gentle heart beats against on my chest is  heavenly. I feel her vibration of love and gentleness.

A newborn is the most precious gift from above casting her brighest light into our world.
We need more Angels here on earth, Penelope! We are so happy you are here with us! :)
I am in awe with the purity of having our little Angel here.

Thank you, John & Tara for sharing the LOVE!!!!

We are blessed to enjoy the magical moments of being with our little Princess! :)

Being Grandparents ~ Day 77

Just a short blog today since I am heading out the door to the airport with my hubby aka Grandpa Gus!

Grandpa Gus & Nana Hai are visiting his newest little one, Grandbaby girl in Ft. Collins.
We are excited to meet our new bundle of joy, Baby Penelope! :)

Plus... getting our lovable big teddy bear hugs from our handsome Avery & Charlie await for us too! :)

Life is more precious with little ones to love.  They are so pure in their giving & accepting love.

Another advantage of being married to my James. He has been there, done that and I get to experience with him each day.  I feel so blessed to be with the most loving man, husband, father, grandpa in the world.

Nana Hai is ready!

Chat here tomorrow on this same channel...and yes, I only have 23 more days to acomplish my 100 day blog challenge! :)

Life is adding up fast, one day at a time.

With Love & precious little ones,

Hai

Being an Asian Blonde ~ Day 76

For years I've had girlfriends that spend a fortune on their hair cuts and hair coloring every 5-8 weeks.  And I didn't get it at all until this year!

Today's hair appointment

At 45, I am just now experiencing the hair coloring thing for the first time.   Spending a fortune is true, but why do we do it?
After~ 3 hours under the "foil" ( no heat for me, please!)
I guess it is different for every woman as to why we want to change our hair & colors.
Mostly to get rid of the grey, right? NOT anymore! It's a new fashion statement!

For me? Well, I was motivated to make a fun change, but really to WOW my husband to celebrate his "golden years". So, I decided to be a "blonde" from a jet black hair Asian gal.

An extreme makeover to say the least and just for the fun of it!
With my natural jet black hair
I am  happy with the different look and a NEW me! I like being a blonde for a change! Why not!
With my "lighter" side

My husband has been thrilled ever since....hmmmm? Like having a different woman next to him,..every man's secret dream.  lol

My husband also says Asian blondes have more fun because they have another excuse to spend more money, and what woman doesn't like to spend cash on all those needless but essential fashion statements, expecially if you're an exotic blonde Asian Lady!! LOL haha

Truly, the older I get, the more fun I want to be all facet of me.

Go ahead, it's NOT just for the young, but for the young at heart, too! :)

With love, flair & blonde,

Hai

Hai's Salon ~ Day 75

I didn't know cutting hair was in my wife's description but it has been for almost 9 years now.

It's doesn't pay very well but my hubby likes it because it is always FREE! :) Even if I did a bad job, he is always happy with it, because it was FREE!
This is a pre hair cut picture taken just a few hours before "the cut".  Notice the grey and thinning mane in all its glory!!

Now this is a post haircut picture.  Notice how I have cut out most of the grey and made what's left look thicker.

As you'll note in the pictures, my husband definetly gets his money's worth, especially when you consider what he would pay at a salon.  Now before you give me a call to cut your hair, you might want to talk to my husband first.  He will agree that the stated cost of me cutting his hair is $0.00, but he will go on to tell you that you better be ready to buy designer shoes, customize your home, buy a dinner car, and pretty much live like a paulper to keep your hair stylist living the life of luxury.  Oh well, so much for the free hair cuts.  I guess James would probably save a couple hundred dollars if he just went to the salon and paid top dollar.  But hey, what fun would that be!!

PS - I'm really stretching the blog today.  Pretty sad when I talk about my husbands barber, especially when it is me.  My mind isn't working today and I have writer's block.

With Love & Cut,

Hai
